Baked Brie with Cranberry Pecan (Print Version)

Creamy brie baked with a sweet cranberry and crunchy pecan topping, ideal for entertaining or holiday meals.

# What You Need:

→ Cheese

01 - 1 (8 oz) wheel of brie

→ Topping

02 - 1/3 cup dried cranberries
03 - 1/3 cup chopped pecans
04 - 2 tablespoons brown sugar
05 - 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup or honey
06 - 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
07 - Pinch of salt

→ To Serve

08 - Crackers, crostini, or sliced baguette

# Directions:

01 - Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a small baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - Place the brie wheel on the prepared baking sheet. Score the top rind with a sharp knife in a crosshatch pattern, being careful not to cut all the way through.
03 - In a small bowl, combine the cranberries, pecans, brown sugar, maple syrup (or honey), cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Mix well.
04 - Spoon the cranberry-pecan mixture evenly over the top of the brie.
05 - Bake for 12–15 minutes, until the brie is soft and starting to ooze but not completely melted.
06 - Remove from the oven and let stand for 3–5 minutes. Transfer carefully to a serving platter. Serve warm with crackers, crostini, or sliced baguette.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • The combination of warm, melty cheese with sweet-tart cranberries creates this incredible sweet-savory moment that makes people's eyes light up
  • It comes together in about 25 minutes but looks like something from a fancy cheese shop, making you look like a hosting genius
02 -
  • I once forgot to score the rind and the cheese sort of erupted through the topping unevenly—still delicious, but scoring helps it melt more smoothly
  • Don't overbake it or you'll end up with brie soup instead of a wheel—12 to 15 minutes is the sweet spot where it's molten inside but still recognizable
03 -
  • If your brie comes in a wooden box, you can bake it right in the box (just remove any plastic wrapping and labels)—it makes serving feel extra rustic and charming
  • Leftovers (if you somehow have them) reheat surprisingly well in the microwave at 50% power—just 30 seconds and it's gooey again
