01 - Place the frozen banana slices into a high-powered food processor or blender. If your blender lacks power, let the slices sit at room temperature for 2 to 3 minutes to soften slightly.
02 - Process the bananas until they break down into small crumbly pieces, then continue blending until a smooth, creamy mixture forms. Stop to scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed throughout the process.
03 - Add any desired flavor ingredients such as cocoa powder, frozen berries, nut butter, vanilla extract, or salt. Blend again until all additions are fully incorporated and the mixture is uniform. If the consistency is too thick, add a small splash of plant-based milk to loosen it.
04 - Serve immediately for a soft-serve consistency. For a firmer, scoopable texture, transfer the mixture to a freezer-safe container and freeze for 1 to 2 hours.
05 - Top with fresh fruit, chopped nuts, dark chocolate shavings, or coconut flakes before serving.
