01 - Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan or line with parchment paper.
02 - In a large mixing bowl, mash the bananas until smooth. Add the melted butter and mix well.
03 - Whisk in the eggs, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until fully combined.
04 - Sprinkle the flour, baking soda, and salt over the wet ingredients. Gently fold together with a spatula until just combined (do not overmix).
05 - Fold in the chocolate chips and nuts (if using).
06 - Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Smooth the top and sprinkle with extra chocolate chips if desired.
07 - Bake for 50–55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean with a few moist crumbs.
08 - Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
09 - Slice and serve warm or at room temperature.
